At Northern Security Services we are committed to a policy of continous improvement in relation to both staff training and development. We feel that this is necessary in order to ensure that all of our security personnel are capable of carrying out their assigned duties to the highest standards through the use of professionalism, efficiency and all in accordance with SIA regulations.

All Northern Security Services personnel must hold a current SIA license and each one is carefully screened and selected. We make our selections based not only on physical presence alone, but on issues including self motivation, character, judgement and the ability to deal with various situations that may arise, expected or otherwise.

The SIA recognises that it is essential for all personnel involved within the security industry to have undergone a structured programme of training and education resulting in recognised qualifications if they are to be effective and professional within their role. Increasingly, industry stakeholders also recognise that individuals with enforcement responsibilities must have broad range of skills and a clear understanding of their role. As the scope, diversity and importance of their work continues to grow, so the degree of professionalism expected from those involved in the security industry will increase.
